Craig Oldham has a great write-up on his site about the way many modern designers/design publications have been presenting their work. The majority of the site has a great amount of content - he takes the time to craft words and sentences that actually communicate. One of my favorites lines is, “*Now, when I say studio I mean, well, a room really.” Pure Gold.
In my opinion, this ’style’ of presentation is great for showing the work in context, giving the viewer a sense of scale, or simply showing that your work was actually printed. There is no doubt that showing something off screen is certainly more gratifying than simply showing a screenshot.
